Power Of Attorney

What is POA?
Power of Attorney (POA) Pakistan is a legal document that grants authority to a designated person to act on someone else’s behalf. It officially declares that Person A authorizes Person B to make important decisions, particularly in legal matters, on their behalf.
Why Do I Need a POA?
If you need someone to manage your legal affairs, such as handling property or other significant decisions, you must provide them with a power of attorney. For example, if you are living abroad and need to urgently sell a property or vehicle in Pakistan, your physical presence is typically required. However, with a POA, the person you designate can legally manage these tasks for you.
With Nadra Hub, you can apply for a power of attorney online. This eliminates the need for you to travel to Pakistan, allowing you to address legal matters remotely, even in emergencies.

Why is Power of Attorney Important?
Life is unpredictable accidents, illnesses, and unforeseen events can occur at any time. Having a POA ensures that your property, finances, and healthcare decisions are protected and aligned with your wishes if you become incapacitated. Without a POA, your desires may not be honored, and your assets could be left unprotected.
A POA is crucial for peace of mind, safeguarding both your interests and those of your family. It prevents loved ones from facing emotional, costly, and time-consuming delays in the event of an unexpected situation.

Who Can Be Chosen as a Power of Attorney?
Choosing the right person as your agent is essential. This individual should be someone you trust completely to manage your financial and legal matters responsibly. Common choices include a spouse, an adult child, a sibling, or a close friend. It is also wise to name a substitute agent in case the primary agent is unable to serve. You can revoke or cancel a POA at any time. This can be done by destroying the document, signing a new one, or writing a letter expressing your intent to withdraw it.A POA is crucial for peace of mind, safeguarding both your interests and those of your family.
